Luminary Studios Imagined worlds, brought to light.

The studio

We craft tools for the people who imagine worlds. Writers, worldbuilders, storytellers.

Luminary Studios is a small, independent studio in Aotearoa New Zealand. We make Utopean, and we write about the craft of building worlds every week.

Meet the studio

Featured · Our first world

An AI worldbuilding and roleplay platform for writers and creators. Build worlds, give characters a past, and write scenes that carry everything forward.

  • Create

Personas with a face, a voice, a history, and relationships that read correctly from both sides.

  • Explore

Worlds as places within places: a world, its settlements, its buildings, its rooms.

  • Write

Events and scenes with participants, conversation, imagery and story threads.

  • Remember

Continuity that carries forward, and Creator's Mind: a private 3D map of your own writing.
